KANU party chairman Gideon Moi made his first public appearance since the August 9 election on Tuesday, September 6 wearing a protective cast on his arm.
Kalonzo Musyoka, the head of the Wiper party, released a statement saying that KANU party leader Henry Rotich was recovering from surgery following a fall during a campaign gathering in Suswa.
Kalonzo said confidently that the politician was doing well and will be back to full health very soon.
“This afternoon Senator Gideon Moi paid me a courtesy call at my Nairobi residence. I’m glad to see that he is recuperating well after a fall during a campaign rally in Suswa that required surgery. My family and I wish him well and a quick recovery.”
After losing his position as senator for Baringo, Gideon Moi made his first public appearance. William Cheptumo of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) received 141,777 votes, putting Gideon second.
