    Amin Mohamed, the new DCI Director, salary and incentives packages

    Amin Mohamed Ibrahim was appointed by President William Ruto as the next Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Friday, October 14.

    Amin will get a:

    gross compensation = Ksh621,250

    basic pay = Ksh372,750

    house allowance = Ksh100,000

    salary market adjustment = Ksh148,500

    For the fiscal year 2022/2023, under the Salaries and Remuneration Commission’s (SRC) remuneration and benefits, review.

    The head of DCI will also receive yearly medical benefits:

    inpatient = Ksh10 million

    outpatient = Ksh300,000

    maternity = Ksh150,000

    dental = Ksh75,000

    and optical = Ksh75,000

    He will also get a daily allowance for local and overseas travel, Ksh20,000 of airtime per month, and Ksh50,000 for yearly leave.

    In addition, Amin will be given a government car with a maximum engine size of 3,000cc.
