Anti-Ruto protests in Mbale and Luanda towns cause disturbances for local businesses

Date:

Protests have caused disruptions to businesses in the towns of Mbale and Luanda.

Residents took to the streets to express their grievances with President William Ruto’s government.

The demonstrators gathered at Ebusakami junction before marching to Luanda town.

They were protesting against the high cost of living and the CBC program.

Some parents claimed that they could not afford to support their children through the new program due to its expensive implementation.

The protesters also chanted anti-Ruto slogans in both towns, including “Ruto must go” and “hatutaki Rutooo”.
