The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Jackson Ole Sapit, has expressed his disapproval of the Deputy Rigathi Gachagua’s comments about alleged corruption during the previous administration.
He stressed the importance of having proper evidence and not discussing weighty issues without a proper basis.
During his appearance on Citizen TV on Sunday, March 5th, Ole Sapit commented that the issue brought up by Gachagua was serious and should not be used for public spectacle.
He also made it clear that he was not defending corrupt individuals but wanted the correct channels to be followed when tackling the issue of corruption.

The Archbishop advised the government to focus on matters that were affecting Kenyans, such as drought and high living costs.
He urged politicians to prioritize the lives of Kenyans, address the cost of living, and improve citizens’ standards of living rather than engaging in political innuendos.
Additionally, the Archbishop faulted the opposition’s frequent political rallies, stating that they do not contribute to resolving issues affecting Kenyans.
