The Azimio la Umoja, which leads the One Kenya Coalition, has modified its calendar of activities to achieve better coordination.
The party postponed a Mombasa rally, which was originally scheduled for February 25th, to a later date.
Instead, they will hold a people’s Baraza meeting in Kitale town on Sunday, February 26th.
The coalition consulted with grassroots leaders to make this decision to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in their activities, clearing with western Kenya before proceeding to other parts of the country.
However, the prayer rally scheduled for Wednesday, February 22nd, outside the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) main offices at Anniversary Towers on University Way, will remain as planned.
Raila Odinga, the ODM party leader, called for the prayer rally to request divine intervention in the IEBC.
Raila has consistently stated that he won the August 2022 presidential election and will not give up until electoral justice is served.
Raila insisted that the coalition must defend electoral justice in the country, and that no one could take away their right to do so.
