“Buckle up, folks, for the wildest political rodeo in town! The latest wrangle between President William Ruto and his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta, has sent Azimio La Umoja lawmakers into a tailspin. While Uhuru is trying to claim that Raila Odinga is his president through his proxies, the MPs are accusing him of being Ruto’s puppet.
Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, started the firestorm by accusing Uhuru of plotting Raila’s downfall after the August 9, 2022 elections. And on Thursday, February 2, he once again alleged that Uhuru and Ruto were in cahoots to tame Raila and fool the Kenyan people. This came after Ruto and his allies accused Uhuru of tax evasion and supporting Azimio rallies.

But the real twist came when Uhuru’s security was scaled down by more than 50 police officers, raising suspicions of a revenge mission against Kenya’s fourth head of state. Owino warned Raila to watch his back when dealing with Uhuru, calling the new wrangle a con to deny Raila the chance to become the fifth President.
Saboti MP, Caleb Amisi, dubbed the Uhuru-Ruto spat the most brilliant maneuver of the 21st century, but warned Azimio to wake up. Political analyst Nafula Kisiangani noted that it was too early to call it a long con, but added that if it was, then something may have gone wrong for Ruto to withdraw Uhuru’s security.
In the midst of all this, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni announced that Uhuru recognized Raila as his leader, even after handing over power to Ruto. And when asked about the tax evasion allegations, Uhuru simply brushed it off, saying that people who have nothing better to do will always make noise. He advised everyone to mind their own business.
Well, that’s the latest from the political arena. Stay tuned for more wild rides in the coming days!”
