Bill Gates, an American businessman, is now in Kenya and is scheduled to participate in a number of public events during his stay.
The founder of Microsoft is scheduled to meet with authorities from the government as well as other players from the corporate sector.
Gates will visit Makueni County, and Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. will play hospitality to him during his stay there.
As far as we can tell, he plans on checking out both the Makueni Mother and Child Hospital and the Kathonzweni Health Centre.
In addition to meeting with local and national scientists and innovators, he will also be meeting with local and national leaders, partners, and grantees.
While in Africa, Gates will announce the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s intention to fund creative new approaches to boosting health, food security, and gender equality in the continent’s developing nations.
Gates will also meet with college students to discuss how new technologies and methods might help Africa’s population better adjust to changing climate patterns and nutritional requirements.
In 2016, on his final trip to Kenya, Gates applauded the country’s youth for their innovative spirit.
