Radio Maisha, a media outlet located on Mombasa Road, is currently experiencing a large number of presenters leaving the station.
The latest presenters to leave the station are Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu.
Billy Miya has officially announced his departure and his intention to join the broadcasting team at Radio 47, a newly launched radio station.
The duo was widely known for their excellent chemistry and commentary skills, which made them one of the most popular pairs in Swahili radio broadcasting.
This mass exodus follows the departure of other presenters, including Ali Hassan Kauleni, a veteran sports journalist and football commentator, who have already confirmed their move to Radio 47.
Radio Maisha has been undergoing a restructuring process since 2022, after the Standard Group, its parent company, issued a redundancy notice.
