Blackout Scheduled in Nairobi Estates and Homa Bay County by KPLC

KPLC has declared an 8-hour blackout in 19 Nairobi estates and certain areas of Homa Bay County. The scheduled power outage is scheduled on February 12 from 9:00 am to 5:00 am.

Nairobi’s Affected Areas

Dandora Phases 3, 4, and 5, HZ & Company Limited, and nearby customers are among the impacted regions. The outage will also affect nearby consumers as well as Dandora Phases 1 and 2, Dandora Market, Korogocho, and Kamunde Road.

Additionally, Komarock Estate, a portion of Mowlem, a portion of Mungetho, and its nearby residents will be impacted. The power outage will also affect nearby customers Candy Kenya, Spectore, Eagle Plain Estate, St. Bakhita School, Odds and Ends, C and P, Vitafoam, and similar businesses.

Areas Affected in Homa Bay County

Aramo and Riat in Homa Bay would face power interruptions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, according to a separate announcement from Kenya Power. Riat Market, God Nyango Primary School, Kosira Primary School, Nyafare Market, Yadhelo Primary School, Otunga Water Point, Aramo School, and nearby clients are among the affected areas in Riat and Aramo.

To enhance service delivery, Kenya Power needs to carry out maintenance work during this outage. Customers are urged to make the necessary preparations.
