Chelsea Director Sacked over inappropriate message

Published on

Damian Willoughby, commercial director at Chelsea, was sacked after sending a string of “inappropriate communications” to football finance agency Catalina Kim, threatening to derail an investment deal worth millions of pounds.

It has been reported that Tim Steidten of Bayer Leverkusen and Victor Orta of Leeds United are two candidates for Chelsea’s sports director position that the club will resume discussions with this week.

As a result of eliminating potential hosts like Arsenal, Leeds United, and Leicester City, the number of English stadiums bidding to host Euro 2028 games has been narrowed down to only 10.
