The owner of Chinese Square, Lei Cheng, confirmed that his business in Kenyatta University’s Unicity mall is thriving after being operational for barely a month.

Cheng started the business after observing that basic goods were sold at expensive prices in local supermarkets.

He aimed to offer affordable goods to Kenyans and followed the legal procedures to establish the business.

Cheng’s market strategy is responsible for his business’s success, but he insists he is unfairly accused of monopolizing the market.

His business has received tremendous support from Kenyans who seek affordable goods and services.

Even on bad days, he can sell goods worth Sh10 million.
