At the residence of Cleophas Malala, the outgoing senator from Kakamega, a scuffle broke out between police officers who had stormed the house and Cleophas’ mother, Martha Malala.
Angry Mama Malala challenged the DCI officials camped outside the house to arrest her and accused them of being used to annoy her son.
She was confused as to why DCI agents had broken into the house after her son had already accepted defeat.
Mama Malala also said that the police had ulterior motives for breaking into the house after being told that the politician was not there.
She told the cops that she was willing to go to prison if she had to trade places with her son.
She blamed departing Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, accusing him of mistreating her son, for orchestrating the witchhunt.
