DCI arrested a man who killed his girlfriend in Lang’ata.

    Published on

A guy was detained by DCI detectives on November 14 for the gruesome murder of his girlfriend at his home in Lang’ata.

After a 48-hour manhunt, investigators from the Crime Research Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) and DCI officers from Lang’ata finally succeeded in making an arrest on Friday, November 18.

He was apprehended in Malaba, on the Kenyan side of the Ugandan border, after hiding out there since the parents of the victim reported the murder.

The DCI said that the guy was suspected of planning and carrying out the brutal murder of his lover, whose corpse was discovered on the couch with a large slash on the forehead and blood seeping from the nose.

Additionally, there was blood all over the living room floor and the wall, suggesting a battle occurred there.

He was first taken into custody at Malaba Police Station and then moved to Lang’ata Police Station.

The detectives said he will be charged with murder and arraigned in court.

As the inquiry continued, forensic scientists from the DCI National Forensic laboratory also gathered blood samples from the location.

The victim’s mother said she had warned her daughter against continuing the relationship with the suspect because he was violent.
