The former CS then instructed the guards to allow the police access to his home but to lock out the press. The statement further noted that a communication team alerted media houses, which caused a nationwide alarm. Amin faulted the media for rushing to publish the reports without conducting the necessary checks to ascertain the matter’s concreteness.
