    Deputy President Gachagua’s Ksh7.5b graft case withdrawn

    Today, 9th November, the Director of Public Prosecutions has explained to Justice Wakumile, on his decision to withdraw Gachagua Ksh7.5 Billion graft case, saying it will make to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have enough time time to conduct a thorough investigation and present the charge sheet for further instructions.

    The graft case of Ksh7.5 billion bribery lawsuit against DP Rigathi Gachagua has indeed been officially withdraw by Noordin Haji, the Director of Public Prosecutions.

    Judge Victor Wakumile of the Anti-Corruption Milimani Court granted Noordin’s plea to delay the case slated for next Monday and Tuesday to allow the attorneys study the case.

    To examine the Ksh7.4 billion in corruption allegations against Gachagua and the 9 others, the ACC Milimani court in Nairobi has granted prosecutors 3 weeks.

    The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji, has informed the court that some nine other accused had written to him asking him to look over the case records and the facts behind them.

    It was decided that the Public Prosecutor could take until Nov 21st to come back to the court with prosecution instructions.
