The Finnish government has partnered with Kenyan universities to fund the retraining of teachers on the CBC.
The partnership, known as TOTEMK, aims to ensure better classroom delivery by CBC teachers until 2024.
The project involves an in-person training module and an MOOC through four comprehensive core training modules.
Finnish educational methods and tools will be used to develop a scalable educational model that fits the local context and responds to local needs.
However, there are CBC implementation challenges, and KUPPET has called on President William Ruto to convene a crisis meeting to chart the way forward.
KUPPET claims that the CBC taskforce relied on opinion polls instead of conducting in-depth research from education stakeholders before arriving at key decisions.
