On March 11, President William Ruto nominated Bishop David Oginde as the new Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), following a recommendation by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
The appointment is intended to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Archbishop (Emeritus) Dr. Eliud Wabukala, and if approved by the National Assembly, Oginde will bring his expertise and reputation for integrity to the role.
Oginde is a former Presiding Bishop of Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) and holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University School of Business and Leadership, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Nairobi.
The PSC had previously recommended former Makueni Governor Kibutha Kibwana and Architect Amani Yuda Komara for the position, before ultimately settling on Oginde.
