Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, formerly a member of Kenya’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, has predicted that the party will be dead by 2027 due to Raila Odinga’s contributions to Kenyan politics.
Kidero has also said that only the nine ODM rebel MPs who have chosen to work with President William Ruto will be re-elected during the next election cycle.
Kidero has been critical of the ODM party and Raila’s leadership, stating that Azimio rallies are not consultative and that it is time for Raila’s followers to start working with President Ruto in unifying the country.
Although some have dismissed Kidero’s predictions as unfounded, others have acknowledged the challenges that the party may face in the future.
The ODM party leadership has continued its efforts to unite the country and promote a more inclusive political environment.
