    Govi, an ex-citizen TV actor, returns to television

    Celebrity actor Malik Lemuel, better known by his stage name Govi, will return to television three years after the cancellation of the Machachari Show on Citizen TV.

    According to a statement released by Showmax on Monday, November 14, Lemuel has been cast as a lead in the Pepeta series that will premiere on the platform on Thursday, November 24.

    Govi will be appearing with established actors like Brahim Ouma, who plays the major role of Junior.

    The youngsters of Kibera, recognized for producing some of the country’s best football players, had their hopes and goals documented in an eight-part series called Pepeta Show.

    Producers claim that the Showmax Original is inspired by the life of Harun ‘Rio’ Wathari.
    Other celebrities appearing on the program include the musician Avril Nyambura, Dedan J. Onyango (from The Real Housewives of Kawangware), and Lwanda Jawar (Sense8).

    A few more include Marrianne Nungo (Supa Modo), Brian Ngaira (Baba Twins), and George Mo (Borderline).
