Kenya’s President William Ruto has vowed his country’s ongoing commitment to IGAD and its efforts to promote regional development.

In a meeting with the organization’s Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu, President Ruto praised the Intergovernmental Authority on Development’s commitment to building a strong and united Africa.

Ruto made the following statement: “Kenya promises its assistance to IGAD for continued peace and development in the bloc.”

They connected during the UNGA’s 77th session, which was held in New York.

Gebeyehu said that “H.E. Ruto underlined Kenya’s commitment to assist IGAD regional stabilization efforts for greater unity and prosperity.”

President Ruto met with Tedros Ghebreyesus, the director general of the World Health Organization, to talk about expanding access to healthcare for everyone.

Ruto has said that Kenya would work along with the WHO to provide universal healthcare in the nation.

Ghebreyesus expressed optimism over the future of the partnership to provide universal health care in Kenya.
