On March 10, Uzalendo Institute of Leadership and Democracy, a lobbying group, sued Jeremiah Kioni, the Secretary General of Jubilee Party, in the Supreme Court, accusing him of acting against the law.
According to the lobby group, Kioni misrepresented facts about the outcome of the Presidential election held in August 2022 and disregarded the Supreme Court ruling that upheld the election of President William Ruto in September 2022.

The case is scheduled for mentioning on March 17, 2023, and the lobby group is urging the court to hold Kioni accountable for his actions, which they claim violate the Rule of Law and order.
They argued that Kioni had failed to ensure his followers were informed with correct and accurate information, and that the court should send a warning to anyone who makes declarations contrary to the ruling.
Lawyer Denis Sang, who represented the lobby group, petitioned the Supreme Court to uphold its authority and the dignity of the court.
