Junets’ letter to Wetangula

Junet Mohamed, the nominee for Kenya’s National Assembly Majority Whip for Azimio la umoja, has written to Speaker Moses Wetang’ula over the coalition’s planned Legislative leadership lineup in the house, amidst an internal fight over the suggested choices.

In a letter dated 21 September, Mr. Junet identifies Mr. Opiyo Wandayi as the Majority Leader, Mr. Robert Mbui as his Deputy, himself as the Majority Whip, and Ms. Sabina Chege as his Deputy.

“Provided for In article 108 of the basic law and Standing Order 19A of the National Legislature, and having held our Parliamentary Group meeting on September 16-17 at Stoni Athi, I am happy to present the newly elected House leaders for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party in the National Assembly,” Reads the letter.
