Kabianga High School: The Top Choice for Form One Placement

The “school of champions,” Kabianga High School, emerged as the top pick for 2022 KCPE applicants. On Monday, January 16th, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu reported that the school got 153,108 applications despite only having space for 768 students. The school has a high academic reputation, with a mean score of 7.7047 in the 2019 KCSE exams, and ranked ninth overall in Kericho county.

The school has a capacity of approximately 2,000 students and is located in Belgut sub-county, Kabianga Sub-location, Kericho County. The school’s mission is to instill in their students the foundation necessary to go out into the world as lifelong learners, well prepared for higher learning institutions and for life, by incorporating technology in the classroom through the use of zeraki learning, Google Classroom, and Microsoft office 365.

Among the notable alumni are Citizen TV’s Stephen Letoo, former Energy CS Charles Keter, and Manuel Chogge, CEO of Choggs Brothers Limited. In terms of a number of applicants, Kabianga edged out Nanyuki High School, which had held the top rank for the previous two years, and was followed by Nyandarua High School, Pangani Girls, and Maseno High School.
