Kari, a small village in Kahuro sub-county, Murang’a County, is in mourning after a shocking discovery on Friday. The body of 31-year-old Charles Moko was found hanging from a tree on a farm by his brother Simon Mburu.
“Heartbreaking Discovery on the Farm”
Simon was in for the shock of his life when he stumbled upon something dangling from a tree. As he got closer, he realized to his horror that it was his own brother who had been murdered. Charles’ body was stripped naked and had knife wounds on the chest. The murderer had even taken things one step further by cutting off his private parts and leaving them near the body.
The news of the murder has left the entire village in a state of shock. Mary Waithera, a neighbor, said the tragedy has left everyone shaken and they are at a loss as to why anyone would commit such a heinous act. Charles was known to be a hardworking man and was employed at a local butchery where he was responsible for barbecuing meat.
“Controversy Surrounds the Deceased”
However, not everyone saw Charles in such a positive light. Some locals have come forward to say that his character was questionable and that he had been arrested several times for being in possession of bhang. A relative even went as far as to say that Charles was very stubborn and that he could not be controlled, despite repeated warnings about the dangers of smoking bhang.
Kahuro’s deputy county commissioner, Fred Muli, confirmed that Charles’ private organs had indeed been severed. The police are currently investigating the case and trying to piece together what led to this tragic event.
