Dan Maanzo, the Makueni senator, has accused the Kenya Kwanza government of failing to embrace all Kenyans, in contravention of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

His comments follow Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s remarks, where he said that the government would reward its staunch supporters and give the least consideration to members of the opposition.
Speaking on Citizen TV, Maanzo noted that the DP’s statements revealed that the government is running a company, not a government.
Maanzo stressed the need for Kenyans to be aware of the kind of rulers they have now.
According to him, the government should cater to all Kenyans and not just focus on the two tribes from Central and Rift Valley.
He also said that what the government says is not always what is in their hearts.
Maanzo said that it is time for Kenyans to get to know the kind of leaders they have in power.
During a speech in Kericho on Sunday, DP Gachagua criticized opposition members who sought government positions.
He argued that his role at State House was to ensure regions that backed the government would get development before those that did not.
He also stated that the government is a shares company with majority and minority shareholders and those without any shares.
Gachagua went on to say that those who invested in this company, which is owned by William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua, should now harvest, including members of the opposition who would have to wait for their turn.
His statement sparked outrage, with many accusing him of promoting exclusion and tribalism in government.
