Kenya Power issued a statement on Thursday, November 24, informing citizens of Kenya that power has been restored to the vast majority of its customers.

Many areas, including Western, South Nyanza, the North Rift, the Central Rift, and Nairobi, have had their power restored.

On Thursday, November 24th, Kenya Power announced that there was a statewide power outage impacting several areas.

Kenya power confirmed in a statement that the blackout was caused by the loss of bulk power supply as a result of a system malfunction.

Kenyans were reassured by the electricity company that the situation will soon be restored by the company’s technical staff.
