Kenyan journalists came together on November 7 to rally behind veteran KBC host Catherine Kasavuli, who has reportedly been diagnosed with cancer.

Kasavuli reportedly has been transferred to a private wing at Kenyatta Hospital and urgently needs a blood transfusion, as reported by her close allies.

After receiving a cervical cancer diagnosis, the media professional was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital and needs urgent blood donation.

Also rallying behind Kasavuli, who returned to screens in 2022, was Samuel Maina, acting managing director of KBC.

“Dear friends and coworkers,  Catherine Kasavuli, a good colleague of ours, was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer and is currently being treated at Kenyatta Hospital Private Wing. We humbly ask for your support to help donate blood.” Stated Maina.

Kasavuli has reportedly been transported to the KNH private wing and requires urgent help of blood.

“She is in dire need of a blood transfusion and would greatly appreciate any assistance that can be given. The prayers and encouragement you offer would be much appreciated.”

“Kasavuli, is an icon of Kenyan television who is currently hospitalized at the KNH, and needs an urgent blood transfusion. Donations are being accepted, so please stop by.” A new anchor  Shiksha Arora stated
