Kenyan Members of Parliament are urging President William Ruto to declare his stance on the LGBTQ community after the Supreme Court’s ruling allowing them to register associations.
The MPs criticize the president’s silence on the issue and call for him to denounce the community’s actions publicly.

Additionally, some lawmakers are concerned about the impact of homosexuality on the country’s decreasing population and are asking Ruto to address the coincidence between the court’s decision and the Ksh16 billion donation Kenya received from the US.
However, Elgeyo Marakwet Woman Representative Jane Kiptoo suggested that Kenya could take advantage of the LGBTQ community by producing some of the tools, devices, and toys used by its members.
