On September 10, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho released a statement updating the public on the status of the event planning for President-elect Wiliam Ruto’s inauguration on September 13.

20 heads of state are expected to attend the ceremony at the Kasarani International Stadium, according to Assumption of the Office of the President committee member Kibicho.

2,500 more VIPs were anticipated to show up on Tuesday as well.

To prevent traffic jams, the government worked with transportation authorities to draft a protocol for implementation.

The general public is urged to take their seats in the stadium no later than 7:00 AM, while the VIPs should arrive no later than 9:00 AM.

At 10:30 am, the event will immediately start.
