On Friday, residents of Kisumu held demonstrations to protest against the high cost of living and refused to be stopped from using a public road that had been blocked.
The demonstrations were called for by Azimio leader Raila Odinga, and the residents gathered in Kondele area before marching towards the county commissioner’s office.
The opposition has been vocal in decrying the high cost of living and has also been calling for electoral reform.
