    Published on

On Monday, October 3rd, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) will launch its own online TV channel. It will be known as KRA TV.

Grace Wandera, KRA’s marketing and communication deputy commissioner, said the station would simplify tax and customs content to improve tax literacy in the country.

Scheduled live broadcasting of tax awareness events such tax seminars, tax Thursdays, tale za ushuru, and other educational shows will be the network’s main draws.

She said that among the numerous shows, the TV would also play a variety of simplified and downloaded information for different types of taxpayers.

Throughout the month, KRA will hold a number of events designed to recognize and thank its taxpayers.

Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and Taxpayer Appreciation Events are among the initiatives being undertaken.

A luncheon and awards ceremony for outstanding taxpayers will round off the occasion.

KRA hopes that all Americans would take part in Taxpayer Appreciation Month events as a show of patriotism.
