Evans Kidero, the former Nairobi Governor, is contemplating his next move after losing a case in which he challenged the election of Gladys Wanga as Homa Bay governor.
Kidero had challenged the outcome of the August 2022 election, but the case was dismissed by Justice Roselyn Aburili due to a lack of evidence.
While Kidero did not indicate whether he would appeal the ruling, the judge gave him 14 days to file an appeal if he was aggrieved.
However, Kidero is unlikely to appeal the ruling if he is appointed Chief Administrative Secretary, a position he has been shortlisted for.
The judge admitted that there were some minor irregularities in the election, but they were not significant enough for the election results to be nullified.
While some Homa Bay residents have appealed to the two leaders to work together, Kidero has not indicated whether he will cooperate with Wanga.
