In an August 2022 interview with the media, Magoha made a suggestion about returning to his clinic at the Nairobi Hospital. He works at the clinic as a urologist and handles urinary tract illnesses. “Do not be scared if you have urination issues. You are welcome to stop by my clinic at Nairobi Hospital. Simply by displaying your press credential, you might get preferential treatment.” He informed reporters.

George Magoha, the former secretary of the cabinet for education, holds a new position at Maseno University. Magoha will now teach surgery at the School of Medicine. 2011 saw the founding of Maseno’s School of Medicine.

He presided over the Kenya National Education Council (KNEC)  before being named the department’s secretary for education in March 2019. Between 2005 to 2015, he also held the position of vice chancellor at the University of Nairobi. He led curricular reforms and served as the face of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for three years.

Additionally, Magoha enabled a seamless transition to secondary education. He could often be seen traveling from home to home in the slums, making sure that kids who finished primary school enrolled in secondary schools.
