Detectives from the DCI nabbed the ringleader of a fraudulent firearm licensing ring, acting on intelligence reports.
The man was caught with fake FLB documents, stamps, a Central Firearms Bureau seal, and four counterfeit civilian firearm certificates.
He also had falsified letters from the Nairobi police and psychiatrist reports from Mathari Referral Hospital.
Posing as a top FLB official, he preyed on individuals desperate to hasten their gun license application process.
The culprit had previously been taken into custody for stealing a firearm and released on a Ksh500,000 bond.
The detectives have been authorized to investigate for a week.
