Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc Kenya party, spoke at a rally in Kitale about the peaceful nature of the Azimio la Umoja movement.
She assured opponents that they are peaceful individuals who act in a constitutional manner.
Karua cited the lack of violence at recent processions as evidence of their peacefulness.
She urged the government to deliver what Kenyans want and warned that peaceful demonstrations may be used to demonstrate the power of the people if the government fails to act.
Karua stressed that the Azimio la Umoja movement is committed to a peaceful approach and does not want to harm anyone.
