Massive traffic at Gilgil and the Weighbridge.

Published on

A traffic jam near Naivasha caused drivers on the Nairobi–Nakuru expressway to spend the night stuck in their vehicles.

According to many sources, congestion began to form between Gilgil and the Weighbridge.

From 7 p.m. on September 2nd to 6 a.m. on September 3rd, several drivers were delayed due to the congestion.

Some drivers have blamed the large trucks using the weighbridge and have asked the police and highway officials to take action.

Parents also expressed their concern about the well-being of their children during the delays, since they were unable to get them to or from school.

However, some drivers have urged the government to widen the roadway that most people use to go to Western Kenya.
