🗣️ Miguna Rallies Behind Raila’s Azimios Rallies
🎭 Outspoken Lawyer Adds Political Flavor to Rallies
“Step aside, Ruto, and let Raila have his rallies!” says lawyer and political commentator, Miguna Miguna. The firebrand is throwing his support behind the former Prime Minister’s latest youth movement, the Movement for Defence of Democracy.
According to Miguna, as long as the rallies are peaceful, they should be allowed to proceed. “The noise and color they add to Kenyan politics is a welcome change,” he declared.
Raila Odinga, who unveiled the new movement at Kamukunji grounds in Kibra, has big plans for the future. He announced that more anti-Ruto rallies will be held, along with a “Ruto must go” slogan, signaling a long and drawn-out political war.
“Ruto didn’t win the elections fair and square,” Raila stated. “He hijacked the will of the people and got into State House. He must get out.”
But not everyone is on board with Raila’s rallies. The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has warned against spreading hate speech and misinformation, with ten hate speech cases and 20 misinformation cases recorded in January alone. NCIC Chairperson Samuel Kobia warned that such behavior is likely to escalate if not stopped.

🔥 Political Tension on the Rise
The NCIC is concerned about the rise in hate speech and misinformation at recent rallies and has called on Raila Odinga to stop his planned political rallies. The Commission also issued a warning to anyone taking advantage of public rallies to spread hate speech, saying that they will be dealt with at an individual level.
NCIC Chairperson Samuel Kobia says, “The rallies are causing political tension and have seen a spike in hate speech and misinformation. This behavior needs to be checked before it gets out of hand.”
