Following the suspension of their operating license, Modern Coast Bus Company sought for other transportation options for customers who had booked tickets.
A representative of the troubled bus operator said on Monday, January 2, that customers had been rescheduled for travels in different vehicles.
He withheld information, however, on whether the customers would depart at the same time that was shown on their tickets.
Kenyans were reassured by the social media team in response to certain customer questions that they had not been scheduled on older buses.
Modern Coast requested that travelers with advance tickets go to the closest booking office on the day of their planned departure.
The company, meanwhile, praised the support and loyalty of its clients. It gave them comfort in knowing that their present difficulties are just temporary.
Modern Coast made it clear that operations on foreign routes will continue despite Kipchumba Murkomen, the Transport Cabinet Secretary, suspending its license.
The Nairobi-Kampala, Nairobi-Kigali, and Nairobi-Bujumbura and return routes are among them. Local routes are still not functional.
However, postal delivery services are still functioning.
