Mount Kenyan business tycoons favor Raila over Ruto.

The powerful businessmen from Mt. Kenya spoke out for the first time since the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that William Ruto would be the next president of Kenya after the recent general election.

The tycoons, who are part of the respected Mt. Kenya Foundation, spoke at a reconciliation forum. Their goal is to bring the two parts of the mountain back together after a great fight at the polls.

Peter Munga, who is in charge of the foundation, said that they backed Raila Odinga because he could lead the country in the right direction.

He urged everyone to set aside their differences and put politics aside, saying that this was an issue that could never be used to divide the area again.

Munga, who supported Raila in his attempt to take over Central Kenya, is now urging people of Mt. Kenya to work together for the sake of the community while they wait for the Supreme Court’s decision on the presidential election petition.
