MP Chepkut’s remains arrive in Eldoret for burial

    Published on

The body of William Chepkut, a former MP for the Ainabkoi constituency, has arrived in Eldoret in preparation for his funeral on Tuesday.

Eldoret International Airport received the corpse, and a funeral procession is now making its way across the town in order to reach the deceased’s residence.

The burial will be attended by several notable people, including President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

In Uasin Gishu County, where Chepkut was born and raised, he represented the Ainabkoi Constituency as a Member of Parliament from 2017 to 2022.

He passed away last week from cardiac complications.
