Musalia Mudavadi, the Prime Cabinet Secretary, is facing a potential legal challenge just a week after launching the Office of the Spouse of the Prime CS.

The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has given the Public Service Commission (PSC) seven days to provide information on the legal and financial aspects of the office.
If this information is not provided, the LSK plans to take the matter to court.
LSK President Eric Theuri noted that the establishment of the office must comply with Section 27 of the Public Service Commission Act and Article 234 of the Constitution.

The LSK has also requested information on the benefits the office will bring to the public.
Mudavadi had launched the office to complement the work of the Office of First Lady Rachel Ruto.
