NHIF Employee Lilian Waithera Died from Bullet Wound: Police Suspect Sniper

Date:

Detectives from the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) have sealed off Kaunda Street as they investigate the inexplicable death of Lilian Waithera, an employee of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).

Waithera fainted and died while going home with her coworkers on Monday, February 13.

According to witnesses, she gripped her chest before collapsing.

An autopsy discovered a bullet in her lungs, prompting speculation that a sniper was involved.

While the authorities investigate the origin of the bullet, they have been visiting nearby buildings on Kaunda Street and gathering CCTV evidence.

During the inquiry, motorists and other onlookers have been prevented from using the roadway.

The police have yet to confirm any discoveries, but they have promised a thorough report in the near future.

Meanwhile, the NHIF administration has encouraged the public to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time and refrain from speculating regarding the occurrence.
