The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is worried about county governors elected under the opposition coalition who are absent from the People’s Barazas organized by Azimio la Umoja.
ODM Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya is calling on voters to hold these county governors accountable, especially those who serve as hosts for the rallies.
So far, at least five host governors have skipped the rallies, and Oparanya has urged supporters to vote out coalition leaders who undermine the coalition in 2027.
Tensions between the Orange party and its eight MPs who visited State House seeking development have reached a boiling point.
ODM Chairman John Mbadi stated that the party is currently reviewing their response to show cause letters before taking any action.

However, a party source revealed that the cases have already been referred to the disciplinary committee due to their unsatisfactory response.
The committee, led by University professor Ben Sihanya and consisting of members Florence Omosa, Seth Kakusye, Mumbi Ng’aru, and Ramadhan Abubakar, was scheduled to hear the cases of the eight lawmakers who defied the party position and met with President William Ruto.
ODM has cautioned its members against collaborating with Ruto’s government, which it regards as illegitimate.
The party has refused to recognize President Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration, and any meeting with the President by ODM members must be sanctioned by the party.
