During the People’s Dialogue Festival organized by the Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) on March 9, the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, refuted claims that his wife’s office had consumed public funds.
Mudavadi emphasized that the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Cabinet Secretary operates for charitable purposes only.
He explained that the office did not rely on the government and that it had been doing charity work even before he held any public office.
Regarding calls for the merger of affiliate parties within the Kenya Kwanza coalition, Mudavadi dismissed it as a low priority, given the pressing issues such as drought and pending bills.
Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC) has previously stated that they would not dissolve into UDA and emphasized their stake in the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
