Police in Nairobi refused to release the impounded Boda Boda motorcycles.

Boda boda riders in Nairobi who were demanding the release of their seized motorcycles at the Central Police Station were dispersed by police officials who chased them away.

Riders that showed up to the station on the 30th of August, however, were not let in since the police wanted appropriate clearance papers.

The police say that Sakaja sent commands to the county askaris, even though there was a proper route set up for the police to use.

Police Spokesperson Bruno Shioso was also quoted as saying that the new governor of Nairobi’s directives do not come within the jurisdiction of the national government.
