Posta Kenya to launch mobile money transfer services.

    Published on

Viewtech and the Postal Corporation of Kenya have inked a contract that would allow PostaPay, the corporation’s electronic payment system, to facilitate mobile money transfers.

Under the terms of the deal, Viewtech will provide Posta with Wallet as a service (WaaS), allowing the organization to offer customers the ability to send and receive funds through the postal service.

Aside from Apple’s App Store, you’ll be able to get the updated PostaPay app via the Google Play Store.

Posta Kenya said this is one of their measures to meet customers’ rapidly evolving requirements as they adopt the cutting-edge technology.

Thanks to this new partnership, the corporation will be able to provide Kenyans with cheap and easy mobile money transfer services.

Under the arrangement, Posta will be an agent of Viewtech Ltd, providing deposit, withdrawal, registration, and verification services on PostaPay for a commission,

    Postmaster General Dan Kagwe stated.

Loan disbursement for microfinance institutions and SACCOs; distribution of government funds, and individual statutory remittances like NHIF and NSSF at competitive rates; all of these services would be made possible under the agreement.
