Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled maintenance that will result in power interruptions in 30 residential areas on Thursday, March 9.
The eight-hour blackouts, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will affect several estates, including Kitsuru Road, Spring Valley, Thigiri Ridge, Rgigiri Close, Bendera Lane, Mugumoini, Plateau, Nyati estate, and the Vicken region.
Residents around the Kenyatta National Hospital, Kenyatta Market, Staff House, and Royal Golf Course will also be affected.
The law requires KPLC to notify the public of scheduled blackouts in advance.
The country experienced a national blackout on March 4, lasting two hours, which was caused by a system disturbance that resulted in a loss of bulk power supply.
