Since President William Ruto appointed a selection panel, the process of finding new Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC) commissioners has begun.
The seven-person panel is tasked with finding qualified individuals to fill the positions of IEBC chair and commissioners.
This action is critical to guaranteeing that the IEBC will be able to serve as an impartial and independent body to monitor future elections.
The recruiting process will be completed and a shortlist of applicants presented to the President for an appointment within 60 days.
