President Ruto appoints close allies to key positions in state corporations


President William Ruto has made significant changes to the leadership of state corporations, revoking approximately 15 appointments made by his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta, and appointing some of his close allies to various positions.

Former Member of Parliament Sylvanus Maritim has been appointed as the non-executive chairperson of the Information and Communications Technology Authority.

Ugas Mohamed has been appointed as the board chairperson of the Capital Markets Authority.

Muyumba Simmon Indimuli has been appointed as the Secretary of the State Corporations Advisory Committee.

Reverend James Bassy and John Seii have been appointed to the Board of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council.
