President Ruto attends the celebration of KDF Day in Laikipia.

    Published on

On Friday, President William Ruto was present at an event hosted by the Kenya Defense Forces at Laikipia Airbase.

It is Ruto’s first military ceremony since he took office on September 13, 2022.

In honor of the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of their comrades, the troops were commemorating the 11th anniversary of the event.

After Operation Linda Nchi began in October 2011, this unique day has been celebrated annually since October 2012.

As a warmup for KDF Day on Friday, the KDF held a free medical camp at the Likii Health Centre in Nanyuki. General outpatient care, Beyond Zero cervical cancer screenings, dental care, vision care, child welfare and nutrition, Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC) services, and health promotion presentations were only some of the medical offerings provided by KDF medics.
